That’s it folks, more than two and a half years since the Inaba series debuted and we started translating it, and it’s finally finished! Was it really that long ago? (Yes.)

Even thought it was the “less official” and more inconsequential sister in the Bougetsushou releases – and possibly because of that – it was the most popular with the fans. And it certainly provided a new view on the Eientei residents as well as on the people who interacted with them during the series. So here’s a special thanks to everyone else who worked on this series: Solamarle, Pilpsie, Tetrominon, Trefle, Rukaroa and Yanfly. (･_･) b Good Job!

ZUN announced the new Touhou game, numbered 12.5, in an announcement on his official website today.

Translation:

It’s been a while.

This is the new game out out for sale Reitaisai (14.3.2010), Touhou Project 12.5: Double Spoiler ~Touhou Bunkachou.

This is the second installment of Touhou Bunkachou (Shoot the Bullet), which I think of as more of an extra than a full game.

This game will torture you with so much danmaku that even if you thought, “Forget stories or development or anything, I just wanna kill time with a short minigame,” you’ll spend hours slaving away, loving every moment.

If I had to explain the story, it’d be something along the lines of “Aya Shameimaru, Tengu Reporter, persistently takes photos of humans and youkai and whatever else and records them in her list of defeated enemies.”

Using tengu power, taking a photo of danmaku will make the danmaku disappear; use this ability to dodge the enemy’s danmaku. The game definitely has strong puzzle game elements.

All characters and scenes featured in Touhou Bunkachou ~Shoot the Bullet will return for this second installment, along with brand new content! On sale for 1,000 JPY at the Shanghai Alice Ensemble booth at Reitaisai for 1,000 JPY! Please take a look if you’re interested.

Sanae and Reisen? An improbable pairing maybe, but they soon find out that the have a lot in common. For better or worse.

A story about… actually, I’m not entirely sure what this doujinshi is about. “Hilarious SDM hijinks” would be my best bet. (Note: Some light nudity.)

…what? I just thought I could convey the general idea in a few words, don’t look at me like that! It worked fine for the Spartans. (And, speaking of Sparta… well, better not bring it on right now, just wait for a future update.)

But anyway, if you want a summary of what we have this time: we get close to the end of the Inaba series with one more chapter of lagomorph goodness , we DO get to the long-awaited end of the Touhou Battle Royale series, plus an epic youkai battle (that spent around a year in the works),  another release from everyone’s favorite toxic substance and Satori like you’ve never seem her before.

So, be it many or few words, I believe you will find lots of fun either way.

This time, there’s Inaba of the Moon and Earth back (but it’s not like there’s anything special about it, I don’t even like it that much… well, I do. But just a little! ), also back is Tohonifun’s epic Yukari vs Ran series (not like there’s anything special about it, really… ), a stunning Marisa-centered story by DEMOUR402 (Marisa is so overrated. I mean, she is pretty and confident and energetic and… no, forget I said anything! ), an old Winter Scenery work where their Rinnosuke-hurting gag started (Who likes Rinnosuke anyway? I mean, I sympathize a little with him, but that’s different…) and while ACID CLUB EAST’s Touhou Battle Royale finale is still not up, there’s another release with the same backdrop by Pageratta (It’s fine and all, but it’s not like I care for humour or colors or anything.)

But we are just doing this because it’s out job, alright? It’s not like we like you or anything.

But… but we don’t hate you either…

With the return of the Watatsuki princesses to the Moon, Earth-Lunar relations are back to normal  and Gensokyo is safe from destruction by accidental fanning. So everything is once again peaceful at the Eientei. But for how long?

Tohonifun – Break

On the sixth and penultimate chapter of Tohonifun’s Ran vs Yukari saga, things get extremely violent and chaotic in Gensokyo, thanks to the pent-up rage of the Scarlet Sisters.

DEMOUR402 – ALFA and OMEGA

Marisa wanted to go to the outside world to learn the advanced magic they had there. But in order to do that, what and who did she have go through, and then leave behind? (Also, a special appearance. )

winter scenery – Yukari’s Diet Journal ~ Kourindou Suffering Chapter

Yukari’s last meeting with the weight scale didn’t go that well, so the Yakumos enlist the help of Rinnosuke in finding a way to lose weight quickly. Hilarity and pain ensue.

Pageratta – Touhou Battle Royale

Unlike the Touhou Battle Royale series by ACID CLUB EAST, this series of 4-panel comics has more of a humorous spin to the story, albeit a violent kind of humour.
