Following the earthquake Celestian incident two weeks ago, Nietz’s internet connection is temporarily hampered (he’s fine). In the meantime, here’s a small helping from our dedicated fans.

Following the magnitude 8.9 earthquake off the coast of Honshu today and the subsequent damage to the Tokyo Big Sight convention center, the organizers of Reitaisai have announced that the event (which would have taken place tomorrow and included the release of the Touhou 13 demo) has been cancelled. An announcement on the official Reitaisai website states that the organizers are looking at possibly hosting a replacement event in the future, but the timing or even whether such an event will take place are still uncertain.
As to what this means for the release of the Touhou 13 demo, no one is certain. We’ll be keeping an eye on ZUN’s blog and Twitter, and will keep you updated as we get more information. In the meantime, our thoughts go out to the victims of the quake.

The main archive for doujins has now been updated; you can click this link or on the tab at the top of the page to connect to the new torrent and download or help in seeding!
Note: If you’ve been a dedicated seeder, be sure to save the new torrent in the same directory as the old to decrease the amount you’ll need to download in order to seed the new torrent.
Once the torrent has been fully seeded, the gallery.gensokyo.org archives will be reenabled with the last three release cycles’ doujin available for direct download. Keep an eye on this post for an update on this!

If the last update was a dark and moody one, this one is most likely its opposite. While not all of this time’s releases are light-hearted comedy (though some are), they are largely full of action, quirkiness and sweetness. All in all, a bright update indeed.
And speaking of the releases, there’s quite a lot of them again. Not only we get back on with the second chapter of Wild and Horned Hermit, but there are also releases from some fan-favorites such as happy flame time, Fusuma Teahouse, Millet Soup and many others. So, check them out and enjoy.

It’s Reitaisai season, and we all know what that means: new games.
Yesterday, ZUN officially announced the release of the thirteenth game in the Touhou franchise: 東方神霊廟 ～ Ten Desires. (Hereinafter referred to as TD, I suppose.)

February went by like a flash.Well, this year brought us sudden snow and chills as usual, but now I can start to finally feel the first signs of spring.
And so, I’ll be heading to Hakurei Reitaisai once again.
