It’s finally here! After months of work, a few hardworking, dedicated IaMP fans have finally graced the general community with the final version of the English IaMP patch. You can get it here.
Also released with it is the final version of the netplay client Cowcaster, which you can obtain here.
Currently, the group has no plans to translate Scarlet Weather Rhapsody. Enjoy!
It’s that time of year again— Reitaisai Season.
Seems everyone’s releasing something this year; it’s the first time Reitaisai is going to be at the Big Sight. A much larger venue than last year’s means an overwhelming increase in participation.

First off, we have the two biggies:
Twilight Frontier has announced the release of Touhou 10.5: Scarlet Weather Rhapsody. You can read more about the release announcement here.
Team Shanghai Alice has announced plans to release a demo of Touhou Chireiten~ Subterranean Animism, the 11th game in the Touhou canon. You can read more about this here.
Finally, on the doujin game front, the final version of Marisa & Alice (Mariari) will be released by Desunoya.

The newest version of Marisa and Alice, 0.85, is out, featuring a few gameplay tweaks and the addition of another world.
Your goal, as Shanghai, is to guide a blindfolded (blind-hatted?) Alice to Marisa. Using your mouse to guide the doll, you can control Alice’s movement, and manage a variety of blocks and obstacles.

Dreamer’s Party is what you get if you stick Touhou in a blender with an RPG. It’s a 2D based shooting game using the WASD keys for movement, and the mouse for aiming.
Since the previous update, more Touhou ROM hacks have been released. So now it’s time for me to go through them.

This was was very creative, since the original game is Devil World, add a Scarlet and voila, instant Touhou reference.
Some of you may already have this, but it may be a good idea to mention it for those that don’t have it yet.

One Night Stand is releasing the next chapter of the Advent Cirno saga, Advent Cirno -StarDust-. While it’s apparent from the cover that Marisa will be the new addition to the cast (as Yuffie), most of the other details of the story are as yet unknown. Keep an eye out for scanlations (hopefully soon!) as it’s definitely high on our list as well. |
For this update, we have a slightly unusual one, in the form of Rom Hacks, or patches for several NES Roms that convert them to something a little more related to Touhou.
First up, we have the conversion of Elevator Action, an old arcade game involving action and elevators, unsurprisingly.
Yes, that’s right, Eientei Action, featuring Reisen Udongein Inaba as the main character, presumably sneaking into Eientei which seems have have magically gained a large amount of Elevators and Escalators, The aim is to get to the bottom without being shot by the constantly appearing rabbits or plummeting to your doom.
Okay, here’s the first Flash update! What you should expect in this is all the latest Touhou works done on flash, obviously.
First up, we have this surprisingly well done parody of the well known intro to Lucky☆ Star, though instead of featuring school girls, they have been replaced with the Three Mischievous Fairies of Eastern and Little Nature Deity fame.
A new tool that allows you to change the BGM for all of the Windows Touhou games has been released!
The editor will allow you to supply new BGM tracks for any of the Windows games; the tables on the page give more information about the looping points in each track, to help you make the new BGM loop seamlessly.
