Gaku Semi-Downed Update
The servers and torrent tracker are not completely up yet, but we can at least host the latest releases. So for now we have a four-release update, with more completed chapters of CoLA and SSiB. (Chapter 19 of both, coincidently, plus two doujin features. Also, the Gaku releases of the previous update are back up as well.
Update: The torrent is up at NyaaTorrents. If you don’t want to download the whole archive, remember to use a Bitorrent client that allows downloading specific files, such as µTorrent. (And remember: m9(°Д°) We want YOU to help seeding~)

So you want to share the comics using the bittorrent technology?
It is a cool idea, it is what Blizzard did from few years now: they seed ONLY when there are few (or no) other seeders and do only the tracking there are many saving much bandwidth.
Actually the torrent IS up and running. We’re probably not going to host our own tracker (since we’ve got just the one torrent, the amount of overhead in setting up a separate tracker simply isn’t worth it), but you can get connected to the torrent at http://www.nyaatorrents.org/?page=torrentinfo&tid=79320

Fantastic, I just set it up. And it seems most of the existing collection can just be added, so less downloading. Good trick that.

Regarding the torrent, surprisingly I got 1GB of mismatches… no idea where that came from. I’m also wondering, why you didn’t pile all the files into one directory (I did it by locally editing the torrent, but nevertheless). Oh, and I noticed that a bunch of files could need cleaning up – mismatched names like _vol1 _2 ch3 chapter_09 in the same series, putting Doyora’s A Bad End into a single file instead of 10 chapter files, … but that could be done later. For now let’s enjoy the torrent

Could be because some pieces are also part of another file that you don’t have, therefore they aren’t complete. Or maybe some of them changed. Either way, starting with 900MB instead 0MB, with about 175MB to fix the collection.
I use Comix to read them, so having them in subdirectories works for me. Any filename cleaning can be handled just like the lossless collection does. Simple.

Done sorting through the new data and comparing.
Most of the differences were pointless, like rar instead of zip, or the same zip files compressed with a different compression level, or an extra subdirectory inside, or the garbage thumbs.db file altered or missing.
The rest had alterations to the image files themselves. I counted at least 3 typo fixes. Guess these were stealth updates? Also, I noticed that int the file “Dioxin_-_Mega_Flash.zip”, file ‘13′ is an 800kB 32bit png, whereas my version is 256 color like the rest. No idea where this came from, probably a mistake or outdated file? Might want to put that on the next torrent’s todo list
Why do i get the feeling that the torrent thats up does not count the whole archive… Just how many scanlated mangas did the archive have?
