Great to see that Youyoumu was finally translated. I can now read the full english version, it seems.

While that last post was perhaps not phrased in the best fashion, it would be very helpful for the gallery to somehow be brought back, if at all possible. I can say that it was only thanks to all the doujin being available here, online, that I was able to become interested in Touhou at all. If I had been forced to download zip files each time I wanted to look at a doujin, I would never have bothered. Call it laziness if you will, but I am willing to bet that many people would be the same. Afterwards I would also come here regularly to browse and read, but since the gallery’s collapse, I’ve hardly looked at anything beyond a couple of the new releases each time. The lack of it makes things hard on old fans, and much harder to recruit new ones.
I recognize that bringing it back may not be possible. But these issues need to be considered. It WILL harm continued growth of the Touhou fanbase if there is no way to read these doujin online.
Anyway, thank you for Varient Youyoumu and Silent Sinner in Blue.
Hm… Since it was gone because of hosting issues, you could host it somewhere else… The question is, where?
Another idea:
Do something similar to how Pockethouse once was, a blog with each post starting with the cover and a sample, then a “Read more…” link that has the individual pages. Has a similar effect to the gallery, but might take a while to do.

Random Wanderer: That entirely depends on the people who are supposedly working on the gallery script. Right now, I have no idea at what stage that development is at or even have any control over that process. So, I apologize for that, and the next best thing at the moment is the mirror dump which is linked where the gallery tab is. If we do try to bring the old gallery back, we run the risk of the site being shut down again by the host. I have no control over site issues, so please contact Hal at for those things.
Nameless Fairy #9: That’s not exactly doable with what I can do since each page is uploaded individually via WordPress. As it stands, it takes me anywhere from 1 to 2+ hours to make the post since I do read the doujins before posting and make the decision what to write/show/etc. So again, I do apologize for the lack of the gallery and will do what I can to urge the people actually doing that, but how fast that comes out depends entirely on them.
I don’t mean to be pushy… But given the poll results recently, I wanted to make sure what I mentioned in my last comment was being considered, and this seemed to be the only real place I could do so and have it be seen. Thank you for your time, and I apologize for bothering you.

Thanks for the mahjong update. Glad to hear you did it so shortly after I started wondering about it again. Not that the two are directly related. The other stuff might be okay, I guess.
Since it was mentioned, I don’t mind the gallery as it is, since I can just use CDisplay now, and it’s actually less of a bother for me to browse through a big list for some reason compared to all these different categories and clicking, AND having doujinshis in a collection on my computer feels convenient too. But I understand why other people are having a problem.
I must say excellent job on Variant Youyoumu 2. On all of them really, but I was especially impressed with the handling of the Mahjong terminology.
