Gaku Hourai-lympics Update

We’re back with another update, right when the Rio Olympics start going underway! And while unfortunately we don’t have any sports-themed doujin to release, we do have something nice for the Mokou fans out there. Two doujinshi centered around the Hourai immortal, one with the typical Mokou/Keine pairing, and one with unlikely but well-done focus on her and Chen. So, reach for the gold, immortal birds!

Morino Hon – Sonomama

Mokou is going through her regular day when a nekomata youkai literally falls onto her with a complicated situation to deal with.

Mokkosu – Twinkling Fragment

Mokou worries about the implications of her immortality and her relationship with Keine. A common theme in MokoKeine stories, but one that never gets old.

Thanks to Jungy, arcrencie, natural-log and everyone else!

As a Mokou fan, I appreciate these. It’s been interesting to look up those Touhou polls recently and see that she’s been consistently popular through the years, even with so many games after her original one and no major game appearances until ULiL (I’m not counting Shoot the Bullet or Impossible Spell Card when games like those are basically a showcase of characters). I’d like to bet that stories like these help flesh out her sympathetic nature for fans.

“Never gets old”… wow, you jerk!
