Gaku Fun Times Update
To compensate for the relatively small size of the previous update, here’s one with seven new releases for you. And, as you can see, most are very much in the funny side of the Force. So, if you need a little mood uplift, here you have some hilarious (and often borderline nonsensical) stuff from UZBL!, ANGELTYPE and newcomer Hyper Summer Wars, plus some romance from Pigeon Blood and Blue. And Yakumi Sarai, which is… OK, that one is not exactly light-hearted and funny (more like very dark humour), but still very good (just don’t read it before eating).
UZBL! – The Flight of the Gensokyo Punisher
Evildoers beware, there’s a new vigilante prowling the nights of Gensokyo, dealing justice and reckoning. Yuuka is not impressed.
ANGELTYPE – HARDCORE EXCITE KISS
Well, Koakuma is a succubus after all, and that type of demon is not exactly know for their demure and subdued behaviour. (Note: Lots of innuendo, but nothing graphic.)
Yakumi Sarai – Hungry Tiger
As expected from a tiger youkai, Shou as big appetite, but is the Myoren temple’s Buddhist cuisine enough for her? Even though their food is very good indeed… Warning: Some disturbing content, as usual of Yakumi Sarai.
Pigeon Blood – Fortune Days
Meiling is concerned about her weekly fortune, particularly the role Sakuya plays in it.
Blue – Touhou Blue Book: Each Time and Place’s Happiness
Another story about Sakuya and Meiling’s past in the SDM, and how their relationship came to form.
Hyper Summer Wars – Cover-Buy
Suddenly, lots of girls are looking up to tying the knot in Gensokyo, and Kanako is there to help. Not everything goes according to the plan, however.
Hyper Summer Wars – Toughguy
The plotline has been kidnapped by nonsensical girls. Are you a tough enough guy to read through it anyway?

i think that’s the most accurate interpretation of byakuren i ever seen.
i used to think of Byakuren as pure and good saint like most fans do
until I read Murasa’s profile at touhouwiki, I can’t never see Byakuren in the same light again.

Like the Yakumi Sarai’s…well everyone has their own dark side anyway…. i have to admit… preserving your youth like that is pretty disturbing Hijirin…there’s other way to preserving youth but is even more scary… by cutting an immortal human head… (Highlander style)

Re: Fortune Days… I think that’s the first time I’ve ever been credited in a doujin translation (I’m “TheKid965″ under “Quality Check”) — I did some minor cleanup of the translation posted to Voile and added most of the mouseovers to the Danbooru pool. Strange feeling to see myself listed on a credits page.
I still think it’s one of the sweetest SakuMei doujins I’ve seen. Pigeon Blood has a good grasp of their characters, and it *feels* like a real relationship, which always helps. 8^)
