The Japanese Touhou wiki is running their annual popularity contest; it’s open to voters from outside Japan, as well, although registration is required to vote. The voting consists of three sections - characters, music, and a survey of your experience with Touhou.

Thanks to assistance from the Nameless Fairies on the imageboard and Pilpsie, we’ve got a guide to help you through all of the registration and voting process.

To begin, you’ll want to head over to the entry page here.

On the page, you’ll first need to register; enter your email address in the first blank provided and hit the button next to it, then hit the first button on the next page to confirm the registration. You should receive a mail within a minute or two from admin@thwiki.info with your “ 発行ID” code; that’s your registration code for entering your poll submissions.

Once you’ve received your ID code, you can begin voting. There are three links for voting; the first one (in red) is for characters, the second (in green) for music, and the third (in orange) for the player survey.

Both the music and character pages are relatively straightforward; the first box is for your ID code and the second is for a username (which really only matters if you’re submitting comments for your choices). Each drop-down box contains either player or song names, grouped by game; although all of the titles are in Japanese, if you know what you want to locate you should be able to find the correct names by referencing the English wiki, which keeps names in Japanese next to the English translations.
