Imperishable Night Translation Patch

Some of you may already have this, but it may be a good idea to mention it for those that don’t have it yet.

Brought to you by the people of Non-Directional Translations, the Imperishable Night patch was officially completed earlier before Christmas with the necessary tweaks that included Music room comments. To download the patch, click the image below:

Before you install the patch, make sure your copy of Imperishable Night is patched to “ver1.00d” which will be shown on the screen after the game finishes loading upon running the game. To get the update patch, click here.

Also in case you don’t have them yet, the PCB and EoSD patches can be downloaded below:

Make sure PCB is patched to “ver1.00b” which you can get from here.

Make sure EoSD is patched to “ver1.02h” which you can get from here.

The Imperishable Night English patch is pretty good, but it has one flaw I’ve noticed so far. The text doesn’t seem to fit in the quote bar when the characters are talking to each other, making some sentences appear incomplete. Hopefully this will be fixed in the next release.

How exactly do you patch IN? I have ver1.00 and I’ve tried to patch it to ver1.00d, but it’s all in Japanese. I tried common sense to see if I could make it through, but I still can’t update it. I would really enjoy IN more, like the other amazing games in the Touhou series, if I could patch it to ver1.00d and give it the English patch. Please help ASAP.

I, too, cannot read Japanese. In fact, Japanese doesn’t even show up on my computer. Moreover, I am technology-illiterate (SOMEHOW I managed to find IN, though, and get it to work). Could someone please just email me a translation of the page or something? I would appreciate it very much.

I was recently introduced to the Touhou universe, and would like to find out more about the story in the games. Unfortunately, i can’t read Japanese, and my computer doesn’t even recognize most Japanese characters. I try to use the patches, and they come in Japanese, and i can’t guess well enough to make it work. can someone send me step by step instructions (or translations of said patches) so I can use them? I got this game from a friend, and don’t have the disk, if that makes any difference. Thanks for the help (if you send it).

The thing is fairly common sense, the button next to the empty field after you click the left button in the popup window is asking for the FOLDER though, not the .exe file, which caught me up for a minute. I tried the folder though and got it to install right, and then did the translation patch, selecting the same folder in “Browse.” Hope this helps, because I also have NO idea what any of the japanese says (my computer won’t read it either) but I got the patch installed.

    Simplified:

    Run 1.00d patch

    Click right button in pop-up

Click button to left of browse field

    Select Imperisable Night FOLDER

(MAY have to hit the “ok” button on the left of this pop-up too, I don’t remember as I wasn’t thinking of writing the stuff down as I did it)

Hit button in center of main window.

Main window should close, and you should have 1.00d!

Help! ;~; I’ve got the update patch, but when I tried to install it it didn’t seem to load, but I couldn’t tell… So I decided I’d download the patch and see if it worked, and if it worked then it meant my game was updated. So I downloaded and installed the translation patch… Now, the icon on th08 where Marisa is changed to a default box, and it says that the exe file isn’t a valid Win32 application… In short, I can’t run the game at all and I have to reinstall. It’s done this a few times. How do I make it so I can install the patch and run the game too?

When I try to downlload the update patch it says that my C drive cannot save the file, is there a solution to this?

I have a problem… I have the game, the 100b-update and the english patch. Well, when I drive the game there’s no text at ALL. No japanese or english of any kind. Please help. Is it a problem with the game, or could it be my pc?

I too am having that problem. I’m running it IN on Crossover (which I’ve gotten EoSD to work perfectly with), and haves installed both 1.00d and the english patch. I start it up, and all of the menu is translated to english, but all of the dialogue text just comes up as a set of squares. Is there anything I need to do to make the dialogue appear as actual words?

And when I pressed enter, the game runs. But i cannot see it. Help me. Onegai…

I wasn’t able to get this patch to work. I have the update and I installed the patch. Normally when you install a patch for these games there is the original and a version with a little e for English. The English version did not appear and now the game won’t run. Please help me!
