I know! Reisen's such a great character; she needs a greater starring role than SWR (She didn't really star there that much, even).

>More difficult than Shoot the Bullet 1?? OMG!

OMG, I though too.
Except it was a damn lie, and the game was actually much easier, particularly the hardest levels.

However, it mustn't be left unsaid: the game was fun as hell and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

@Ed
>i also would love to see him take advantage of Dx10 and soon to be out Dx11 platform for building games

And I would love to see you shut up and stop spewing nonsense like a tool.
If you're going to go graphics whoring, I don't have a clue what are you even doing looking at Touhou.

If anything, ZUN should stop using DirectX entirely and start doing OpenGL, so that he would not be automatically shackled to a single platform.
I'd be delighted if he'd release his games for GNU/Linux, but I know far too well that he'd rather go out for a beer than learn something new like that.
Plus, he doesn't give a damn.
I'll keep hoping for the day when I don't have to keep a copy of Windows around for the sole purpose of playing his games.

i think this addition to my Touhou collection is awesome i love the artwork. not only do i have it not translated i beat it in one sitting. a for sure #1 or 2 contender on my list of games By ZUN. love the work and hope he keeps it up. i also would love to see him take advantage of Dx10 and soon to be out Dx11 platform for building games. i have also seen some videos on youtube about a 3D version kind of like SWR. it looks good as far as i can tell. not just that it was very much like a revamp of Master Blaster but done Touhou style :D

Well by the looks of it, it might actually be easier to land pics regardless, considering Aya is using a probably (speaking as if shes really doing it) a higher camera, along the scales of Megapixel's

@57:

Yep, my guess would be the graphics card. My computer is from 2001 and was using onboard graphics, and I was only able to get between 35-40 fps on EoSD...PCB was lucky to have 25fps, usually closer to 10-15fps...the rest were either totally unplayable or would crash before starting.

I found an NVIDIA GeForce 6200 (PCI, so it wasn't as powerful as the AGP ones...but I don't have AGP on this thing) card on Amazon for about 40 bucks. Popped it in, I can play all the main games at nearly a full 60fps (on UFO it hovers between 45 and 58, IIRC). I really underestimated how powerful that card is, because I didn't think it would do that much, seeing as how it's something like five years old. But from the specs on the Wiki, It should also be capable of playing Double Spoiler properly too.

Just did a quick check, actually. Running UFO at 960x720 while Firefox (3 tabs open) and Winamp are both running, I was getting a solid 58/59 fps on Stage 1. So yeah, that card is more than powerful enough. I'd be a little hard-pressed on SWR or Hisoutensoku, simply because I've only got 512MBs of RAM and they require 1 GB.
